Getting Started
Welcome to the Northstar Studios documentation. This guide covers everything from purchasing to installing and configuring your resources. If you get stuck at any point, our team is available in Discord.
What you'll need
- An active FiveM server (txAdmin or a manual artifacts setup).
- FTP / file access to your server's resources folder.
- A Discord account for support and license linking.
Purchasing & Delivery
Add a product to your cart and sign in with FiveM when prompted — this links your order to your account so the resource can be delivered automatically.
How delivery works
- Checkout is processed securely by Tebex.
- On payment, your purchase is granted to your linked FiveM account instantly.
- Escrow resources unlock automatically for your server's license key.
Installation
Each resource ships as a folder. Installing is a matter of dropping it into your server and starting it.
Steps
- Download the resource from your Tebex account (or pull it via the Tebex asset escrow).
- Place the unzipped folder inside your server's resources directory.
- Add ensure <resource_name> to your server.cfg.
- Restart the server (or refresh; ensure <resource_name>).
Configuration
Most resources include a config.lua (or shared/config.lua) with documented options. Open it in any text editor to tailor the resource to your framework and server.
Common settings
- Framework — toggle between ESX, QBCore, or standalone where supported.
- Locale — set the display language and currency formatting.
- Permissions — define which roles/jobs can access admin features.
Escrow & Open Source
We ship both escrow-protected and open-source resources. Escrow keeps core logic secured through FiveM's asset system while leaving all configuration fully editable. The product page notes which model applies.
